Mayawati Donates Rs 11 Crore to Flooded Bihar

Nudges at PM

Mayawati, like Sonia Gandhi proved why she exists in the prestigious Forbes magazine list of world's most powerful women. On Friday she donated Rs 11 crore for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the terrible Bihar floods.

Bahujan Samajwadi Party chief Mayawati undertook an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas before handing over the fat cheque to a top official of the Bihar disaster management department.

Mayawati later addressed a press conference, urging Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take an initiative to find a solution for the damning problem of floods in Bihar and assuring help for the victims.

"Floods are not new to Bihar," she said, "but the government should take the issue seriously to come up with a solution"

It was an important and a very practical statement.... it certainly is good sense to spend hundreds of crores of rupees in building dams and canals rather than spending the same amount of money helping flood hit victims.

Revu Raja Rao - A bit of solution of Floods - Reg.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 09/06/2008 - 11:48.

Dear observers Good Morning

This is Raja Rao from Human Resource Development Institute located at Road No.25, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, A.P.

Government and Voluntary Organizations spend crores of Rupees on Flood victoms, its good for and help of effected areas and appreciated to them.

Floods effect are few days, but results are more and more, we cannot estimate the value of money and lives. The situation gone and every one forget including media also.

Why not remember to last situation to Govt./others. No solution for Floods? We know every problem solved. But, why not solved the Floods. Is lose to Government/Political Parties/Burecrates? Why not taken steps for last 40 years.

Man can do any thing, what he want?
but, man dragging by either politicians/burocrates/public.

Even solution is known me but who support/encrage me? who taken my suggestions?.

Every five years Government may be change, but no body take series action on (Solution) remidy of Floods.

"Men may come and men may go but continues gone for ever.
"Brook"

Just this is my feeling for the nation

Thanking you
